Homemade Bacalao Seaweed Potatoes and Pumpkin Dish || CARIBBEAN FOOD

Just make sure that the Bacalao [=dried and salted Cod fish] this fish comes packaged. You have to take the fish out of the package and place it into a large plastic bowl or in a large food container with water. Rinse it a few times and leave it in the fridge.

The next day you day it out rinse it a few more times because if you don’t when cooking the bacalao it will be ‘too salty’ which is not good for your health.

If you want to be sure that the bacalao is good on salt you can even taste the water where the fish is in, it wouldn’t do nothing to you.

After you know how you want the Bacalao as in the salty level. You can cook it like any other fish which I didn’t know, the only thing you should do like I previously is the process of getting rid of the salt. 

As soon as I get a chance I will make this dish record it so that you could have an idea on how to cook this. Very light and delicious dish!

    1. Hi Camila💕 it all depends how much you like the salt, at home we prefer rinsing it many times to get rid of the amount of salt.
