SUPER Food for Nails💅🏾

If you haven’t read my previous post you can read it here, in this post I talked about my dream and how I felt and the other thing was that I couldn’t move in my dream.

In today’s post I’m gonna share with you some of the SUPER FOODS FOR YOUR NAILS, some oil, vitamins and foods you can eat to help repair your dry and brittle nails especially now that we constantly wash our hands. Myself have been using more hand lotions and oils every time I can.

Protein makes up the building blocks of organs, muscles, skin, and hormones. Your body needs protein to maintain and repair tissues. Meanwhile, children need it for growth.

Egg, almonds, chicken breast, oats, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, milk, broccoli, lean beef, tuna, quinoa, lentils, ezekiel bread (=It’s made of organic and sprouted whole grains and legumes, including millet, barley, spelt, wheat, soybeans and lentils.), pumpkin seeds, turkey breast, fish, shrimp, brussels sprouts and peanuts.

Coconut Oil

When applied topically, coconut oil can be used effectively to soothe very dry skin and treat mild to moderate atopic dermatitis. And since the nail bed is an extension of your skin, you can use coconut oil to treat dry, cracked nail bed and repair a rather painful peeling cuticle condition.

The fatty acids in the coconut oil also fasten wound healing and improve the collagen structure of the skin.

Biotin is a vitamin. Foods such as eggs, milk, or bananas contain small amounts of biotin. Biotin is used for biotin deficiency. It is also commonly used for hair loss, brittle nails, and other conditions. Taking biotin can help treat low blood levels of biotin. It can also prevent blood levels of biotin from becoming too low. Low blood levels of biotin can cause thinning of the hair and rash around the eyes, nose, and mouth.

Hemp Oil

Hemp oil benefits hair, skin, and nails because it contains essential nutrients for health and growth. Like all oils, hemp oil seals in any water, keeping your hair, skin, and nails moisturized.

Specific ingredients like vitamin E, magnesium, and carotene are the reason for the results you get when using hemp oil. These minerals help your hair, skin, and nails function at their best and grow strong.

Hemp oil doesn’t only contain essential vitamins and nutrients, it’s also naturally antifungal. Anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties make hemp oil one of the best oils to fight skin conditions.

Vitamin E Oil

Vitamin E is a vitamin that dissolves in fat. It is found in many foods including vegetable oils, cereals, meat, poultry, eggs, fruits, vegetables, and wheat germ oil. It is also available as a supplement.

Vitamin E is an important vitamin required for the proper function of many organs in the body. It is also an antioxidant. This means it helps to slow down processes that damage cells.

Vitamin E supplementation can prevent yellow nail syndrome, which causes peeling, cracked, and yellowing nails. Vitamin E oil’s moisturizing benefits may also support nail health by preventing cracked cuticles and dry skin around the nail bed.

QUESTION: “What products do you use for your hands that works wonders”?

  2. I appreciate the info. My nails are so weak 😭 and ugly right now; I really need these super foods for nails to get them healthy again.

I have a silly question: some of the oils you suggested, is it ok to use them directly on your nails? Sort of like a nail treatment so they can absorb the vitamins and supplements directly.

Hope you can help me out with that question. Thanks!

    1. Hi Mary.. what I found in my research you can indeed use most of them directly on your nails or if you like you can make a mixture of all these oils together and create a cuticle oil. You can also select for example the Coconut Oil and Hemp Oil and make a mixture of those two and use it like that. The Vitamin E though I would suggest using it by itself.

      I hope I answered your question 😊
